A popular trend in sports cars is the use of Ultrasuede products or Alcantara. This high quality synthetic suede fabric has a unique appearance and feel. JDMS produces quality products to enhance the appearance of your vehicle and their third interior piece for the WRX / STI is a black arm rest cover with red stitching.

Give your vehicle a premium look by replacing the OEM leather cover. Removing the arm rest panel is easy and the JDMS piece is cut in the same shape as the original.

Installation Notes

Adhesive and a sharp knife is required for this install. We recommend a product like 3M Super Trim Adhesive. It comes in a black spray can. READ the directions carefully on the can and do not spray on the JDM Station product. The adhesive needs to be applied to the inner edges of the cover. Keep the adhesive off top side of the fabric of the new cover.

For this installation, we will be installing over the original cover. This provides padding for the install.

Disassemble the OEM part and remember which screws are used for which locations. Take time when disassembling to prevent damage to the plastic threaded pieces. There will be grease on the OEM assembly so keep paper towels close.

NOTE the front of the cover vs the back of the cover before spraying adhesive on the old cover. The adhesive takes a few moments to get sticky. Align the new cover and begin to stretch the new cover over the old one. There are tiny notches at the front and rear to help you keep the product aligned. Relief cuts may have to be cut to aide in the cover laying down along the inside of the plastic piece. Simply create these tiny incisions with a knife. The top half of the cover will be held down by the back plate which makes the installation easier. Once you have the cover properly mounted you can install the back plate. At this point you can cut the hole for the release button and its frame. Start with a small hole and remove fabric until you can reinstall the button frame and the button. Reassemble the rest of the extended arm rest.

The final product will be stretched tightly over the frame to give a factory like appearance.
