2021 would be the 6th and final year for the VA Subaru WRX. What a run it had for sure. The VA WRX had all of the modern amenities that still to this day are highly useful and had aged very well. The VA WRX was also a model that the aftermarket had a lot of fun with. Companies such as OLM made custom headlights, taillights, and interior accessories to customize both the interior and exterior. Suspension companies such as Faction Fab, Whiteline, Cusco, and BC Racing just to name a few developed sway bars, coilovers, along with end links to really keep the VA planted during street and high-performance driving conditions.
COBB Tuning, GrimmSpeed, HKS, IAG, and other reputable brands took the FA20F to another level with their large menu of performance upgrades that included cat-back exhaust systems, intercooler upgrades, fuel system mods, and cold air intake systems. While Volk Racing, Enkei, and RAYS had several wheel options to allow enthusiasts to run a more aggressive tire size to further improve the handling. The VA WRX was hard to beat in its overall versatility and great marriage of comfort, speed, and handling, and it would be hard for Subaru to make a better successor. For the enthusiast who is new to the WRX and wanted to have a great car to start with, you cannot go wrong by choosing a VA model WRX.
