yea I should have wrote this back in 2022. . . in November when I bought it. I got deployed in the summer of 2023 and got home in 2024. it's now April of 2026. so, I drove let's see maybe 2. 5 to 3 years barely before the clutch started to slip badly. before this i had a stage 2 and it made it pretty hard as an everyday driver. so i figured go stage 1. the clutch was a lot easier for everyday driving. I just expected to get another year or two out of it. does having the car sit for a year degrade the clutch.

The flywheel installation had no surprises (XClutch Chromoly Flywheel). Shaved about 25% off of the original flywheel (19. 7 lb stock vs 15. 2 lb XClutch). I also installed the XClutch HD Sprung Organic Stage 1 Clutch Kit. Again, installation held no surprises. I adjusted the pedal linkage to get the engagement point near what the original was. Performance wise, I’m well pleased. The flywheel provides quicker acceleration and the clutch has solid engagement with similar pedal pressure. It’s very street-able which is a must because the Li’l Missus and both kids love to drive the STi. What? It’s a family sedan. Right?
