More washers will make the spring tighter in the BOV. If you have increased boost, then you want to add more washers to keep the BOV from opening too soon from not having the spring tight enough. These valves come with 4 washers installed for factory set cars. If you have modifications, you will want to monitor your boost and make sure it doesn't taper off under high load.
