Process West designs this intercooler core to be as efficient as possible to provide your Subaru with optimal cooling efficiency. Upon their research, they discovered that thicker intercooler cores are not always the best case. Being mounted at a 90-degree angle, overly thick cores cannot make great use of the ambient airflow and can cause high heat exchange and higher inlet temperatures.

Process West designed this particular intercooler with a 90mm thick core so that it can make full use of the ambient airflow to properly maintain cooler intake charge air temperatures. Additionally, they designed a special splitter that completely covers the surface area of the intercooler core when compared to the OEM splitter which only covers about 50% of the core. The result is more power while consistently maintaining cooler intake charge temperatures under spirited driving conditions.
