This 442 (2-Way) coilover is built specifically for 2005-2009 Subaru Outback, so the valving, spring rates, and shock body length are all matched to this chassis rather than approximated. Standard 441/441+ spring rate is 8k front / 8k rear. That level of application-specific tuning is what separates a proper coilover from a universal strut with adjustable perches bolted on.

Independent Control Over Rebound and Compression

Independent two-way adjustment front and rear, with remote reservoirs. Rebound and compression are tuned separately, so you can manage body roll and weight transfer without the two fighting each other. Built on Swift springs. That separation gives you real control over how the car settles under braking versus how it rebounds over bumps, rather than compromising on a single combined setting.

Choosing Your Driving Style Tune

• Balance Comfort & Performance – the all-around setting: comfortable enough for daily driving, sharp enough for the occasional spirited drive or track day.
• GT Comfort – a touch firmer than stock for better body control, but tuned with extra shock and spring travel so ride quality stays comfortable. Also allows extra ride height range in both directions.
• Road Racing (street tires) – firmer valving and spring rates built around 200 UTQG-or-higher street/track tires.
• Road Racing (slick tires) – a notably stiffer build for sub-200 UTQG racing slicks and maximum cornering grip.
• Drifting – valved for sustained slip angle and heavier-engine setups.
• Drifting – Pro Long Stroke – extended shock travel for cars running more aggressive lock/angle kits.
• Drag Racing – tuned for front-to-rear weight transfer and straight-line traction off the line.

Heads up: remote reservoir hose length depends on suspension geometry — a short hose for strut-type applications where the reservoir mounts right on the shock, a longer hose for multi-link applications where it mounts away from the shock. Extended hose lengths are available for a small per-corner fee if you need to route the reservoir somewhere non-standard.
