Installed on my 2018 WRX, took about 4 hours. First short throw shifter I've ever used and it's crazy the difference from stock. Shifts are so quick and crisp. The STS and shift plate together might be a bit too much for some drivers, and I'm still getting used to it. I go into 3rd when I'm trying for 1st a lot. A lot of the shifter slop is fixed with just the STS and plate, so you almost feel like you don't need the shifter stop, but installing it really helps engaging 1st and 2nd gears easier than without it. Also it lets you move the right-side stock stopper so you can get into 5th and 6th gear more easily. Taking the stock shift assembly apart is easy, watch their install vids and then watch some yt vids too. You need the right tools to do the install, like an extra long 5/32" punch to get the roll pin removed and reinstalled in the shifter plate. For some reason BW went with SAE on the two allen nuts on the shifter, so you need 3/32 and 7/64 allen keys to get those removed. Getting the new metal bushing installed is almost impossible, probably need to apply some grease since it has no give whereas the stock rubber bushing does. A table vise helps too.
