AEM 340LPH High Flow Fuel Pump
AEM’s 340lph E85-Compatible High Flow In-Tank Fuel Pumps feature robust internal construction that is designed to withstand the low lubricity characteristics of ethanol and methanol fuels, and are tested to work with ethanol fuels up to E100, methanol fuels up to M100 and all types of gasoline. Its compact, short body design (65mm length) with mounting hooks also makes it ideal in universal applications that have fuel tanks with tight tolerances.

The AEM 340lph E85-Compatible High Flow In-Tank Fuel Pump is designed for in-tank mounting on high performance naturally aspirated and forced induction vehicles. It features a compact 39mm diameter that fits most applications and an offset inlet design that eases installation.
The 340lph E85-Compatible High Flow In-Tank fuel pump includes a wiring harness, pre filter and O-rings. Every AEM 340lph E85-Compatible Fuel Pump is tested to flow 340 lph at 43 PSI before it is packaged for sale.
WHY?
When looking for a drop-in fuel pump that was suitable for the demands of Subaru Flex Fuel setups, AEM's 340lph E85 Compatible In-Tank pump checked all of the boxes. It's compact design allows it to be a direct replacement of the factory fuel pump. This pump is a vital component of COBB's Stage 3 + Flex Fuel Power Package.

Ok so this is a fine pump and all, but I wish I knew what "universal" really meant before I bought it. This pump fits my fuel pump housing but it DOES NOT stay in place without additional hardware (aka, zip ties or hose clamps). The key difference between this universal part and the stock fuel pump is that the stock one has two ridges at the top, which sort of "clip in" to the housing, allowing it to remain suspended in place at the top of the fuel bucket. This is critical because the venturi system does not work properly unless the fuel pump remains suspended at the top of the housing. In my case, after installing the fuel pump I found that I was not making sufficient fuel pressure. I had to remove the fuel bucket from the fuel tank again in order to discover that the fuel pump had fallen down to the bottom of the housing, where it was not able to function properly. I remedied this using zip ties to hold the fuel pump in place, but in the long run I will probably swap this out for a FITTED fuel pump that is actually designed for my car. I have a 2019 STI, not sure if other model years will experience the same problem.
