The Subaru BRZ continues to drive off Subaru’s assembly lines as a really attractive traditional sports car that is affordable to many enthusiasts across all demographics. Subaru really hit the strike zone in the design from all faucets from the exterior that evolved just right, to the newly designed 2.4-liter engine that makes up for the loss of mid-range power that was missing in the first generation. With 228 HP and 184 LB-FT of torque, this is a real rewarding car to drive especially when mated to the close-ration 6-speed manual transmission.
Like the first generation BRZ, the ZN8 is a real driver’s car where skill and momentum wins the weekend races and gets the blood pumping while driving through local mountain passes. With modern amenities, and a reachable price tag of under $30,000, the 2023 BRZ is a bargain that is lightweight, handles greatly, and is versatile. With that being said ,and after a year of production, popular upgrades include the likes of the Tomei Expreme Ti exhaust to save weight while adding power, while allowing the engine to breathe through a K&N Typhoon Intake System. Handling is sharpened through a set of Faction Fab FR Spec V2 Coilovers, and Cusco Sway Bars keep the tires planted while cutting through the apexes. A great choice for those who demand a traditional front-engine, rear-wheel-drive 2-door coupe to activate more fun in life.
