2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Parts
A wild year after the release of the 2004 STI, Subaru made subtle changes that made the transition of the STI simplified especially for the aftermarket. The body remains the same with the coined Blobeye headlights, the large rear wing, and it still included BBS wheels. However, the 2005 STI went with a different knuckle design in the suspension converting the wheel pattern to a 5x114.3 as opposed to the earlier 2004 STI models that had the 5x100 wheel pattern. Because of these reasons, suspension upgrades such as Faction Fab’s F-Spec Coilovers, and the factory exclusive larger Brembo calipers that will fit on the 2005 STI, would not fit on the 2004 model because of the 5x100 knuckle design.
The engine and drivetrain remained the same with the 2.5-liter flat four engine. And after a year, exhaust companies were off to the races as the EJ25 created an intoxicating now flagship Subaru rumble. Popular modes included but are not limited to the Invidia Q300 Cat-Back Exhaust System, IAG Performance V3 Steet Series Air Oil Separator Kit, and the COBB Tuning Adjustable Short Throw Shifter just to name a few that made the driving experience a little more exciting.
