The intake is arguably one of the most popular first set of engine upgrades for the WRX. This is due to the general simplicity of the installation, but with a proper tune, an intake can add a decent amount of horsepower and torque, while making that turbo spool quicker. The factory intake works excellent on a stock motor, but if you want to get more power it can be restrictive. A good intake system will remove any turbulence or obstructions so that the turbocharger can inhale a larger volume of air.
