A “Must Have” item
This really brings the dash of my ‘17 Limited STI together. The fake carbon fiber is unsightly to begin with, but the silver trim on the steering wheel and shifter console always looked out of place to my eyes. This upgrade solves both problems. The piano black ties in nicely with the head unit, too. In addition, these inserts are larger than stock and go all the way to the door on each side. You will need some kind of dash removal tool to remove the stock parts. As the previous reviewer said, the passenger side pops right out—but the driver side requires taking the dash apart. It’s fairly easy, but more complicated than it needs to be. I definitely recommend checking out YouTube tutorials first. Overall, great product and highly recommended.
Easy to install, makes quite a difference in appearance...
I bought this for my MY16 Levorg and it perfectly fits. Installation is pretty simple. On passenger side it just snaps into place (pull the original one and put the replacement on). On driver side you need to unscrew the panel from the door side and then release the clips from the inside in order not to break anything (don't just pull!). I was hoping the cover to be made from aluminium but unfortunately it's all completely plastic. My one got some scratches on the silver linings on the passenger side and indeed the cover is pretty scratch-attracting unfortunately. The piano-black part is also made of plastic and even attracts scratches from soft towels. I basically used a cleaning towel for my glasses. I also bought the blue aluminium covers which is glued-on to the black part of this trim. This looks pretty classy and is a bit more scratch-resistant. However the silver plastic part does not keep up with the classy aluminium look then. Too bad it's not anodized alu alloy for the base.
