Tomioka Racing oil cooler features 16 row cooler core with high quality stainless steel braided lines and fittings. Tomioka Racing oil cooler is the perfect upgrade for street or track car. Oil cooler kit prolongs the life of the engine oil and internal components especially for subarus under harsh driving conditions. The oil cooler also increases the overall engine oil capacity to make sure plenty of lubrication for the boxer engine. Tomioka Racing oil cooler comes assembled and includes all hardware with brackets for bolt-on installation. This kit comes in ready with built-in themostat oil-sandwich adapter, perfect for winter driving, to make sure the oil is not over cooled. Thermostat opens at 180F to ensure proper warm up. We have seen up to 30 degrees Fahrenheit of oil temperature improvement over stock during aggressive driving conditions!
An increase in oil temperature affects the ability to properly lubricate and protect engines, which can result in engine failure in extreme cases. The Tomioka Racing oil cooler kit is composed of a high quality aluminum heat exchanger. Its 16-row core is capable of producing great cooling effects considering its compact size. The Tomioka Oil Cooler Kit is designed to be mounted behind the tight space on the back of the front bumper beam of the Subaru BRZ, Scion FR-S and Toyota FT-86. The cooler core is connected throughout with Aluminum AN10 fittings via stainless steel braided lines to ensure the necessary free-flowing oil supply to the boxer engine. In addition, the TR oil cooler kit includes a temperature-controlled oil sandwich plate which protects the engine during cold climates with quick engine warm-ups and kicks into operation when the engine oil is too warm.
