During cornering the PERRIN strut brace transfers the load of each strut tower via tension and compression of the strut bar, to the opposing strut tower, reducing flex by sharing the load and tying the strut towers together. The improved chassis rigidity enhances steering precision under high load conditions and reduces understeer. Tire wear and metal fatigue in the strut tower area can be reduced.

PERFORMANCE
With Subaru’s MacPherson strut design, the vehicles entire vertical suspension load is transmitted to the top of the vehicle's strut tower. For this reason there is inherent flex within the strut towers relative to the vehicle body. During performance driving there is enough flex to alter what should be static camber, toe, and caster settings. This change can make steering response and body roll more pronounced and unpredictable. The PERRIN Performance strut tower brace solves this problem. During cornering, the PERRIN strut brace transfers the load of each strut tower via tension and compression of the strut bar to the opposing strut tower. This reduces flex by sharing the load and tying the strut towers together. The improved chassis rigidity enhances steering precision under high load conditions and reduces understeer. Tire wear and metal fatigue in the strut tower area can be reduced.
CONSTRUCTION
Utilizing heat-treated cast aluminum feet and mandrel bent, thin wall 4130 Cro-moly tubing, the PERRIN bar is strong while remaining lightweight.
FINISH
The strut bar is powder coated for protection against the elements, the textured finish will look awesome for years to come. The feet are a glossy black powder coat, pad printed with the PERRIN logo. The PERRIN Strut Tower Brace for WRX / STI is available in red and black wrinkle powder coating.

Grabbed the Perrin tower brace back in June, 22. Packaged well, easy to follow instructions, installation went smoothly. Overall appearance under the hood is great, crinkle red is a nice touch. Can definitely notice the reduced flex off the bat. Especially since only a front is currently installed, the rear flex is more pronounced now. Worthwhile suspension mod and will be adding a rear but from a different company as I haven't found a Perrin rear one yet.

Nice piece!
By Erik February 16, 2022I got the neon yellow strut bar to match my other perrin products. I am running a Grimmspeed TMIC. So the bar does bit, however, you will get rubbing if your running the Grimmspeed TMIC. You wont notice the marks till you take the bar off or swap to a FMIC. The bar does clear this intercooler but rubbing will still occur.

Fits with Verticooler
By Andrew August 7, 2020This is the only STB confirmed to fit with the Process West Verticooler. That being said, it is a TIGHT FIT. I have a touch of rattle, despite tapping the bar as far back as we could before tightening down the bolts. Quality of the part is usual Perrin top notch. Performance is excellent. Noticeably better turn in on tight turns, as well as high speed sweepers. Car is flatter, in general, and overall handling is improved. Definitely recommend this product.

This was the first thing I put on it the moment I got it home from the dealer. The only thing I'd wish was different were the screws. I wish they were steel instead of aluminum because they strip suuuuper easy. Other than that, its really solid, and fits well! A+

Instant results!!
By Kyle October 11, 2018I could feel the difference instantly! The instructions said it would have wiggle room, however, mine seemed a little tight fitting and required a strong arm. It took me about 30 min. Once it was installed, I noticed a huge difference. I love Perrins products.

It's no that easy to install
