Despite the fact that the 2015 WRX is a great car, one of the things you might also notice is that the shifter feels a little sloppy.
Our video will discuss the benefits and walk you through the installation so you can get back on the road quickly with a much better setup over OEM.
REDUCE THE SLOPPY FEEL
The PERRIN bushing reduces the sloppy feeling during quick gear changes, giving the driver a more precise feel when shifting, especially that crucial 2nd-3rd shift.
STIFF BRASS BUSHING
The PERRIN Shifter bushing is solid brass with specifically placed O-rings which eliminate slop but allows for natural drivetrain movement. Simply replaces the OEM rubber shifter bushing that is easy to install with no special tools required.
5 Year Warranty
PERRIN Performance warrants to the original purchaser, all PERRIN products to be free from defects in material and workmanship within a sixty (60) months period from the date of purchase. *Some exclusions apply

Does the job
By Doctor February 26, 2023My old rubber bushing was... old. I put this in when I was changing the plate to tighten things up, seems fine to me! Some people say there's more vibration but I haven't noticed. I have more rigid engine and trans mounts, so this is negligible to me. Did tighten things up a little, but not a huge difference unless your rubber is dead.

Works
By Randy June 24, 2022Works as described, install was a bit difficult on 2020 WRX. Had to drill inside to open up .001 and heat bushing for a super snug fit. Still recommend, but not easy install for everybody. Inside diameter about .001 too small out of box.

Night and day difference

Does not fit
By Justin October 31, 2021Tried to install this on my 2021 WRX since Perrin has it listed as comparable. For the life of me I can not get the brass bushing into the linkage ring. It simply does not fit. Every video I see the ring just pops right onto the bushing with little effort but god himself would not be able to get my bushing to fit inside that ring. I’ve followed every instruction to the letter and referenced several install videos including subispeeds and I’ve done exactly as instructed and it will not fit.

New BUSHING wroth it

Great product
By John September 1, 2021I did this on a set of Jack stands and it sure was a pain in the ass but if you put the bushing on first then slide the arm onto the bushing it makes the job a lot easier. Made my shifts feel a lot more crisp and clean and I think it’s worth it.

no more grind!
By Eric April 22, 2019I always had trouble going into 2nd if I'm flooring it. I would 60 percent of the time get it to grind going into 2nd gear. I got this bushing for another reason, not knowing it would fix my 2nd gear grind!!! that was great and now the shifter feels tighter and shifts better. people need to get this. it's real easy to install. thanks eric

Easy install and definitely worth it!
By Jason January 12, 2019The part of this that took the longest was jacking the car. Overall took 30 minutes and works awesome. Such a crisp shifter feel now. I love it! Instructions tell you to remove mount clip from the shift cable. You do not need to do this.

Best bang for your buck!

I watched he Subiespeed video for reference and bolt locations which was a big help! You won't regret this! I paired this with the Boomba short throw shifter and it's a world of awesomeness.

EASY INSTALL
By Joey July 5, 2017Great product from Perrin, definitely gave my shifter a more solid feeling shifting through the gears. Would definitely reccomend. INSTALL was about 20-25 minutes, and this was using just a jack and jack stands. Perrin includes a very detailed instruction manual. You can also find subispeed's install video that is very helpful as well. Anyways glad I made this purchase, very good investment.

Easy install
By Brett February 16, 2017I installed this on my 2017 WRX and it took maybe 15 minutes to install, the hardest part was getting the stock rubber bushing out. It greatly improves the feel of shifting, no more big *clunk* when aggressively shifting gears! This is the first performance mod I've done to the car and it is very much worth the $25.

Great Improvement

Stupid easy to install

Clean and Tight Shifting
By Jayman July 14, 2015No more slop in the gears. Super easy to install. Just follow the video as it takes almost as long to jack up your car as it does to do the install. Each gear is nice and precise. Pair this with the Perrin shift stop and the short throw adapter and you will be very happy!

MUCH BETTER FEEL
By Evan July 9, 2015I installed the bushing while I did my first oil change on my 2015 WRX. It is super easy to install, and SubiSpeed's video is spot on in terms of time and how to do the install. I always watch their videos a first time, get all the tools I will need ready, and then watch it again while I do the install. It makes the shifts much more crisp and tight. There is no more flexing of that rubber bushing, and this paired with the Perrin shifter stop makes for an awesome combination!

Stronger material, not much change
By Tim May 18, 2015I ordered this bushing and installed it along with Perrin Shifter Stop. I really like the strength and quality that the brass bushing provides over the OEM bushing. It feels much stronger and more reliable than the rubbery feel of the OEM material. However, I only noticed a slight difference in the shifting action after the install. It feels slightly faster when changing gears, but I wouldn't call the change dramatic. I can't say that I can recommend spending the money on the upgrade, unless you absolutely feel the need to change out the bushing. If you want to upgrade your shifts, I'd say try the Perrin Shift Stop first.

SO PRECISE and CRISP... PERFECT!!
By Jan January 10, 2015I installed this bushing, along with the Perrin shifter stop, and Cobb knob almost a month ago. I had some time to drive it around before writing a review and til this day it amazes me how crisp the shifts are. It took a few days to get use to the Cobb knob because it's extremely lighter than the stock knob but I love the smooth finish a lot more. Definitely a solid upgrade and I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a solid feel.

wow! didn't expect this to make such a difference
By Nick November 23, 2014With 8k miles on my WRX, I've become pretty accustomed to how it shifts. This bushing makes shifting significantly smoother, and helps eliminate some of slop that the trans has; everything is crisp and smooth. This is phenomenal when paired with the shifter stop! Wish I had done this sooner.

The shifts feel much better

If you are reading this you should be buying the bushing. I have almost no experience working on cars and was able to do this very easily.

Makes a noted difference
By invisusAG August 24, 2014Being not so mechanically inclined, this install took maybe 30 min. Working under a car stand instead of a lift made things a little tougher, but not a difficult install. It's a much crisper shift, and compliments the short shifter kit well.

Great product
By Steve August 1, 2014I love the shifter on my new WRX, this makes it better and over time will not get loose and sloppy. The factory bushing is OK with less than 1K miles on the car but will degrade over time. This brass bushing will never degrade :-) Easy install and great bang for the buck...
