Perrin Transmission Support Mount

The PERRIN Transmission Mount Support reduces drivetrain movements under hard acceleration, deceleration and corning, which allows your engine to transmit more power to the wheels. This means better, more accurate launches for drag racing and auto cross type events where you do not want drivetrain slop.
The factory "T" shaped interlocking support does not fit snugly into the transmission mount. The gaps around this "T" shaped piece allow the transmission to move roughly .500" in all directions. The PERRIN Tranny Mount Support is a larger version of the factory piece, eliminating the gaps and reducing transmission movements. The PERRIN Tranny Mount Support, will only allow .100" of maximum deflection keeping the back end of the tranny in place during extreme driving and giving the driver a positive shift feel.

WHY DO I WANT STIFFER TRANSMISSION MOUNTS?

HOW DOES IT WORK?

CONSTRUCTION
PERRIN tranny mount support pieces are made from CNC'ed 6061-T6 aluminum which means nothing will wear out and no urethane which will eventually squeak.
ADDED VIBRATION
The PERRIN tranny mount support will stiffen your stock transmission mounts which will add some added NVH (noise, vibration, harshness.) For most people this is pleasing, feeling your engine solidly connected to the chassis, versus having that sloppy disconnected feel.

Trans go whirrr
By Sushiroll July 30, 2022Bought this with the Whiteline Bushing like many of the other reviewers here. Easier to put both of these on the car at the same time to save the hassle of taking the trans mount off each time. This makes your car a lot noisier however, will make the transmission feel more firm and smooth. The noise though is fairly loud and makes it almost uncomfortable on long drives but it does make it sound more like a race car and that, is pretty cool.

An excellent and easy mod
By Kevin February 28, 2018This is one of the easiest modifications I made to my car, and while there is a noticeable increase in nvh in the car, the shift feel is totally worth it. I highly recommend it, and pair it with the Cradle bushing and the transmission mount bushing for best feel

Simple and effective

Get with bushing mount
By Mark July 19, 2017WARNING: When starting the BRZ after installing for the first time. It will be loud and it will a new experience. Shifting has became much more refined and smoother, at the expense of sound. I felt it was worth the upgrade to have to hace more control of the car. Does what it says. Would recommend it as a quick upgrade. Pain in the rear to install, but instructions are very detailed.

Just Received
By Kevin January 24, 2017Just received my Support along with my Whiteline Bushing. Just from the look of it, this is twice the size of the EOM ''Support'' if I can so put it. The aluminium is very nice and feel very solid with a good kind of heavy feel. I can't wait to install it!
