THE PROBLEM WITH THE OEM PITCH STOP BRACKETS
Under hard acceleration, the drivetrain is being twisted front to back from front axle torque twist. To control this front to back twisting, Subaru created a pitch stop mount. The factory pitch stop bolts into two metal brackets which fail over time on the 2015-2016 WRX & STI. This failure comes in the form of these two metal brackets tearing, welds breaking off of the firewall, and sometimes a combination of the two.
THE NEED FOR THE PERRIN PSB
The PERRIN Pitch Stop Brace does exactly what its name implies, it reinforces the brackets that connect the pitch stop to the car. The factory brackets on the firewall that hold the pitch stop in place will bend and snap off, even with the flimsy and soft factory pitch stop bushings. The PERRIN Pitch Stop Brace will act as both a means of preventing your pitch stop brackets from tearing as well as reattaching the pitch stop to the firewall if your brackets have already failed.[1]
CLUTCH LINE REPLACEMENT
Included in the PERRIN Pitch Stop Brace kit is a replacement braided stainless steel covered Teflon clutch line. Removes your messy, rubber clutch line with a much cleaner and more durable stainless steel line. A flexible clutch line is required for installation because the hard lines occupy the space required by the PERRIN Pitch Stop Brace.
CONSTRUCTION & FINISH
The PERRIN Pitch Stop Brace body is CNC machined from 6061 billet aluminum and a black anodized finish with vibrant, laser engraved PERRIN logos.

Solid, noticeable difference.
By Randy October 26, 2020If you are planning to do any kind of performance upgrade, get this brace first. Set yourself up for success, instead of failure resulting in torn factory mounts. I noticed a difference in normal driving as my car is my daily. Between the Perrin brace and the Perrin pitch stop mount, they cleaned up a lot of driveline slop felt in normal daily driving. Highly highly recommend getting the Perrin pitch stop mount with this brace, you won’t be disappointed. Install was simple and straight forward, watch the video, great step by step install guide.

Great Kit extremely well made braces
By Derek July 25, 2017This Pitch Stop brace is an extremely robust kit that will definitely give me piece of mind when it comes to the reliability of the pitch stop fire wall bracket. The Perrin directions were good, and the subispeed Youtube video was excellent. There were a few hard to reach spots which is expected, may have taken two hours to install. Great kit! Will be looking to install the Perrin brake booster brace next.

Worth The Coin
By Mych June 18, 2017Another great Perrin product. Solid parts, great build quality, and concise instructions. Brace installs easily but the prep work to get it done can take a little time. Popping the passenger side harness out of the firewall took a little time. Bleeding the clutch will require a friend, unless you have a vacuum bleeder. The clutch master cylinder bolts can be tricky to get to. My biggest qualm is the rivet nuts. I tried torquing down one of the bolts that needs to be installed in the rivet nut, and it just spins in the rivet nut. Luckily it was the innermost bolt of the two. Im not concerned about it backing out since there are so many mounting points. I just would have liked it to work as intended. For the piece of mind, it was worth buying the brace. Coupled with the the Perrin mount, driver inputs feel more direct and precise.

Easy install!
By Aaron March 1, 2017Went in easily. alittle tight in a few spots but didnt take me long to get the brace and the mount installed. Great peace of mind!
