The PERRIN Master Cylinder Brace prevents unwanted movement of the master cylinder, allowing for increased brake pedal stiffness and response.
Reduce Flex Your brake pedal is connected to the thin sheet metal firewall which flexes as you apply the brakes. The firewall is not stiff enough to deal with the constant and repeated forces while applying the brakes. The PERRIN Master Cylinder Brace creates a bridge between the firewall, master cylinder, and shock tower, significantly reducing flex in the firewall while braking.
Stiffen Brake Pedal Feel The PERRIN Master Cylinder Brace significantly reduces flex at the firewall, so you get solid brake pedal feel with every application of the brakes. This is very noticeable while under heavy braking and even slowing for a stop sign. The difference can immediately be felt after installation.
Construction When possible we PERRIN tries to design Master Cylinder Braces in one piece to improve rigidity. The PERRIN Master Cylinder Brace for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX and STI are CNC machined from a large piece of 6061-T6 billet aluminum for extreme stiffness. With stainless steel hardware and an anodized finish, the PERRIN Master Cylinder brace will look great and last the life of the car, even in the harshest conditions.
Design The PERRIN Master Cylinder Brace is designed to attach strategically to multiple points on the shock tower. This helps reduce flex in the brake master cylinder by creating a solid connection between it and the chassis. The further aid in stiffening or tightening up this connection, included is an adjustable screw that allows tension to be preloaded on the master cylinder.
Finish Anodized black or neon yellow with a vivid PERRIN logo, the PERRIN Master Cylinder Brace for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX or STI are guaranteed to continue looking great while being used.

Quality product. Tricky install.
By Sam April 23, 2023If you don't want to take your wheel off and/or still have OEM coilovers, long allen socket ball bits and socket extensions make this install a lot easier. And, if you have a TMIC, temporarily removing the driver-side intercooler bracket also helps a lot with access to the install location. Installation aside, this is a very high quality product. The brace piece itself is just as beefy as aftermarket engine mounts, transmission mounts, and pitch stops.

By JB September 24, 2022This is a quality piece. Nice fitment and really adds support to master cylinder, in turn the brake pedal. Can feel the difference on first drive. It is in a tight spot. It was much easier after I ran a tap through the factory nuts in fender well. Fasteners went right in nice and easy. Does what it says. Would recommend

Noticeable Difference
By JVR July 4, 2022I didn't realize the flex of the stock configuration until I installed the brace. Tricky install with small amount of space and blind hex bolts, so definitely recommend taking out nearby brackets and create space for your hands - and wear gloves unless you want to get scratched up. Once installed, looks amazing and definitely can feel the difference in pedal feel. Worth the money and compliments other Perrin engine bay components well.
