More and more vehicles are being sold with a ‘sound symposer’ system on their engines. This basically pumps engine noise into the cabin of the vehicle so the driver can experience the sound and rush of the engine accelerating under load. However, some customers choose not to have this sometimes obtrusive noise constantly being drawn into their car.
Some people have come up with quick and easy solutions to remove this system. Mishimoto has developed a system that fits a variety of vehicles. The system features an aluminum CNC plug with a Mishimoto logo to place in the intake hose as well a rubber cap to install onto the sound diaphragm. Installation is a snap and will take about 10 minutes to complete. Now you can enjoy a quieter ride!

Kind of a false advertisement
By David January 4, 2023As the previous reviews the aluminum “plug” is a little to small to fit into the intake. Was a little upset that it also doesn’t delete pipe from the intake manifold and only the section between the intake tube and manifold. But through some trial and error found out that if you remove the rest of the tube you can put the cap from a cigarette lighter/power port into firewall from the inside of the vehicle and cap it all the way off and really delete the tube.

keep screwing the clamp!
By Enrique April 7, 2017works as advertised, but the eraser is soooooo small. whatever, it seals just would be more noticable if it were a bigger piece of light weight aluminum.
