Whiteline Strut Mount Offset Assembly / KCA409 Fits
2 customer reviews
Improved handling, reduced bumpy feel from front. Make sure you align your top spring cover properly with the strut when installing these, otherwise you will get clunking noise. The hole on cover must point directly outside the car (to the side). Install was easy because I have lowering springs, so I did not need to compress springs and even not remove strut: just unscrew the middle bolt (use heat gun if stuck), jack the car by crossmember and the wheels will go down leaving enough space to replace mounts. Use jack to move wheels and struts up and down when needed.
Worth Every Penny
My handling and ride quality noticeably improved over the OEM front mounts. Ride quality is much more "Germanic" with solid damping of potholes and uneven pavement. much less jarring and more controlled than stock. I installed tyhese on the maxed caster/camber settings and the handling improvement is noticeable. If you think the car had good grip before wait until you put these on. Understeer decreased, grip and ride quality increased. There is no down side that I've found to this product like you get with most suspension mods, no additional NVH at all. Bearings inside the mount are of a higher quality that OEM the Whiteline is a sealed bearing on both sides OEM is only sealed on one side. Installation of these was very simple. remove strut, compress spring, take old mount off, put new mount on, reinstall strut in car.
