Kartboy
Details
Kartboy's solution to reduce shifter throw has hit the market. Overall throw is reduced by 38% over stock.
This replacement shifter arm replaces the factory piece, is counter-weighted, and mounts to the transmission. Along with this kit, a replacement rubber bushing is included which replaces the OEM bushing on the end of the actuating cable.
The main piece is cast from 4130 steel and has a CNC pin. Weight is around 0.5 pounds. This is just enough mass on the counterweights to make a solid shift without feeling too heavy.

Great part, awful installation
Huge improvement in shift feel. More than worth the effort of installation. Rented a two-post lift for this but even so the install is awful, both removing the old pin & reinstalling the new one. Top bolt on heat shield is nearly impossible to reach. Just undo the rest & bend the heat shield out of the way temporarily.

Shifting awesomeness!
As most people have been saying, the install is a pain without the right tools. So make you have the right size and LONG punches. I started the install with short punches and couldn't get the pins all the way out. Luckily I had someone to drive me to the local hardware store (Home Depot) to buy the correct length punches. The shifts feel amazing. It's quick and notchy, which may not be for everyone. But I like the notchyness so you KNOW when you're in gear.

Knotchy!
First off, I had a local shop install this for about the same price as the cost of the kit. So I can't speak for install ease. The throws are dramatically shorter, and very tight vs stock. I love it but it may not befor everyone. I hope it loosens up some as you almost feel like your not in gear sometimes when in fact you are. This is a must in my opinion, no regrets!

Great part, installation was a pain
Without the right tools, the installation can suck. I bent 2 punches whilst doing this install (so buy good quality, LONG punches); make sure you use 3/16" punch because there's a pin within a pin. If you use a smaller one, you'll knock out the smaller one and still have the bigger one to punch out. And since I only had ramps to work with, the angles were a pain. I had no leverage. So try to get a lift or just jack the car up higher. But the outcome is outstanding! The shifts are significantly shorter. It requires a bit more effort to shift, but as with anything you'll get used to it. Highly recommend!

Pain to install, awesome short shifts!
It's a pain to install this thing, I recommend a lift, long punches, and lots of patience. The shifts are so notchy and quick, I love it! It is definitely one of the best things I've bought and installed on my vehicle. Hope to see them release a shift stop soon.
