  1. Less Drive Train Bounce and More Engine Noise

    Installation was super easy since I already had the inter-cooler off to install another mod. Before you get to the 'Cons:' let me tell you that for me it is a worthwhile mod. The WRX isn't packed with a lot of sound insulation, so most owners are already used to a good amount of road noise. Pros: In slow speed, stop & go traffic, it cuts the drive train bounce in half. Feels like the slop has really been reduced when you are on and off the gas in 1st or 2nd gear. Cons: Noise. You cannot miss the sound of the starter. It is the most loud and amplified noise resulting from this mod. Really a non-issue since you only use the starter for a second. Engine/transmission noise is also increased, but not to an overbearing level. The engine noise increase sounds like there is a cheap 8-bit Nintendo sound processor pushing out engine sound through a pocket radio speaker buried in your dashboard. Once you are up to speed, it is hard to hear from all the other noise.
