This leather arm rest with red stitching is an OEM part made in Japan by Subaru. It was designed for the WRX S4, but it fits quite well on the Forester. No longer will your elbow miss the arm rest.
Please note the color of this item vs your interior.
Compatibility
This arm rest fits just like the US version. However, it has red or blue stitching depending on what option you choose.

Solved our problem!
By tjfeldman July 22, 2021The biggest issue with our 2018 Suburu Forester was the stubby, virtually useless center armrest that it came with. This replacement part solved that problem! The part is also much better quality than the original armrest and looks great with the gray interior. The only minor negative was that the bottom screw holes didn’t match up to the ones from the original (contrary to what the installation instruction video says). In spite of this, the top screws seem to be enough to hold it in place (along with a center screw hole that seemed to work). Otherwise, the installation was pretty easy.

Love this arm rest!
By Steve Kosier November 28, 2019My wife had a hard time with the stock arm rest because she is shorter and has to move her seat forward to drive our 2015 Subaru Forester. As a result of moving her seat forward, the arm rest is rendered useless for her and she has to put her hand on the passenger seat. I installed this arm rest yesterday in a matter of 5 mins and the difference is night and day for both of us. Granted, we have a base 2.5I so I understand why we have the cheaper arm rest, but this arm rest is phenomenal! So glad we bought this from Subispeed!

Perfect Addition

The JDM armrest is not only much thicker but it also provides a better quality better feel leather then the stock version. Even though it is just only a few millimeters longer than the stock armrest it slides out much further than the factory piece. You can see this in the pictures below. Previously, my right arm felt like it was sitting too low when resting on the factory armrest. The upgraded JDM version sits perfectly as it is much thicker. This upgrade is definitely worth the money and the wait time.

Why didn't this come standard?!
By 17 Forester March 14, 2018The moment I installed this, I was almost in euphoria! The factory armrest was a tad bit too low for me. This arm rest is probably double in height, raising and placing ur right right at a much more comfortable position, for me at least and not to mention it slides! This armrest also protrudes foward more than the factory as well. So even if you don't slide it forward, your elbow can still rest on it, unlike the factory, your elbow was cocked back. Well worth the investment! O btw, it looks NICE!
