This 1-piece carbon fiber driveshaft for the Subaru STI will directly replace the stock 2-piece shaft. Doing so will allow you to shed ~ 4lbs from your setup. Dropping rotational mass can help increase throttle response and acceleration.
By removing the factory 2-piece shaft and installing a single shaft, the car will feel more responsive due to the lighter weight of the shaft and also the fact that the hanger bearing is not moving up and down during acceleration.
NOTE: This only works for vehicles with a 6MT transmission.
