Perrin
Perrin Intake Inlet Hose
2013+ FR-S / BRZ / 86
Details
The PERRIN Performance silicone inlet hose for FR-S and BRZ will increase engine airflow and horsepower while adding a touch of color and style to your engine bay. The OEM inlet hose will quickly become your biggest restriction when adding bolt ons parts like intake and exhaust components or when doing major upgrades such as performance camshafts or engine internals. The PERRIN inlet hose will let you maximize all your performance power upgrades.
3" DIAMETER FOR MORE FLOW
The PERRIN inlet hose has a 3.0" internal diameter compared to 2.7" found in the OEM part. This allows for a greater amount of air to smoothly enter your engine with virtually no restriction. This larger diameter will easily support all bolt on modifications especially aftermarket cams.
SMOOTHER AIR FLOW TO THROTTLE BODY
The PERRIN inlet hose is perfectly smooth on the inside and has a larger radius bend toward the throttle body. Compared to the stock part, which has a very sharp bend, our PERRIN Inlet hose makes a much more gradual bend toward the throttle body making for even less restriction. This along with removing the pleats found in the OEM hose, makes for more horsepower, and improves acceleration.
SS INTERNAL SUPPORT WIRE
The PERRIN inlet hose is reinforced with a stainless steel support wire that is embedded within the silicone layers. The support adds rigidity to the hose and prevents collapse when used with restrictive filter elements and high horsepower cars running higher redlines and big cams.
REMOVES RESONATOR AND SOUND TUBE
The PERRIN inlet hose removes the sound generator tube, and lower resonator box to allow for a much smoother air path from the intake to the throttle body. This also cleans up the engine bay be removing all the added hoses for these two things.

Great product
This product was super easy to install and really cleans up the engine bay. I pair this product with the K&N filter and it makes a nice induction noise. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to upgrade the stock intake system.

Easy to install looks great
Quick and easy to remove the factory intake bits and bobs with basic tools. The intake pipe is even easier to install. Just bare in mind that the Perrin intake tube does get close to the belt but will not touch. Just make sure it is put all the way onto the intake box. As for gains, hard to to say as i had the headers, and every thing else exhaust wise done already. But it has a better intake sound with the K&N drop in filter and seems to rev abit easier...

Great Part. Easy Install.
Small noticeable gains after installing this inlet tube. Color looks great (red). Be careful to secure it in a way to avoid rubbing against the belt. The black plastic nipple where the hose connects to the stock filter housing (right) can be shaved down, or just push the silicone hose over/into enough to make space on the other side near the belt (left). Noticeable 'woosh' and glad to be rid of stock sound tube pieces which serve no purpose.

Great product
Definitely eliminated the unwanted extra noise in the cabin. All I have I a k&n filter with the perrin intake and I can feel a slight difference in power. All in all it was a quick and easy switch with all pros and no cons. I highly recomend this product. Loved all the extra goodies the guys from ft86 threw in with my purchase. Ill definitely be a return customer.

Great investment may be tricky for beginners
Subaru 17BRZ Very easy to uninstall old stock, but very easy to install. Noticed a difference when paired with a Works or Blitz filter. Only issue I had was removing the clips from the sound generator which requires needle nose pliers to remove. Perrin doesn't say it in the instructions, but I am saying here from experience. There is a pipe that connects to the cabin that could get loose when removing the entire sound generator. This is easily reattached if pulled out by accident. Sounds much quieter in my opinion, not much difference in sound from stock intake. You will get a boost in HP.
