Sounds great

The fit and finish are spot on. I went with the wrinkle black for the stock look. The written instructions leave a lot to be desired but the Subispeed and Mishimoto videos are a great help. Mine came with 3 provided clamps and had to reuse some of the stock ones. I've paired this up with a Cobb Stage 1+ Big SF tune. The intake and turbo noise is a lot louder. Performance-wise, my butt dyno can't tell you how much more power is being made however overall, the car is a lot more responsive and smoother in power delivery. It's definitely more drivable in traffic and suburban areas.

2 things not to do

First things first, their is no longer an OTS tune for this intake from Cobb. If you’re buying this intake you’re also using an accessport and a custom tune. So really this is a $1,300 part. Got this on my car and something definitely wasn’t right. Ran it with a Cobb stage 1, and it was bad. Stage 1+ And it ran with minimal knock, but way off for AFR learning Either you really really need a custom tune, or I installed something wrong. Set the car back to stock with the Stage 1 and it’s way better than it was with this intake. IMO, if you want an easy intake, get the COBB one. At least it comes in fewer pieces so there’s less to mess up.

Very happy with this!! Super easy to install and its so loud!! I havent upgraded my BPV yet and with this you can really hear the air being recirculated. Best part of all....it comes with laffy taffys hah. Thanks Subispeed :)

Its a whole new WRX

This intake completely revitalizes the personality of this car. Strongly recommend getting it with a tuner, to get the most out of this and to protect your engine. Coupled with a COBB tune, the power boost, hiss and whoosh, and much more linear torque curve, are literally everything I could have asked for. I did not have to remove any of the skid plates to install this, just pop the clips near where you need to go and feed the screwdriver through the gap. Align the new worm gears to face up in case you ever have to pull this intake out. Saves you like an hour of hassle and removes the need to jack the car up.

Painted intake overspray a problem.

I purchased this product in the wrinkle black. What I noticed first off was that they had gotten a substantial amount of over spray on the inside of the coupling where the MAF sensor sits. During a drive cross country the paint began to chip off under the MAF sensor which blocked the sensor from reading. Which caused my car to go into shutdown and stop me on the side of the freeway. If you are looking at getting this intake I recommend getting the paintless stainless pipe. Hopefully you can avoid the frustration that I had. Mishimoto did replace my pipe after a few emails back and fourth and pictures of the issue.

You can feel the difference!

As soon as I started driving after putting the intake in I felt the difference. The car pulls much harder much more acceleration it feels awesome. And mishimoto gives you a paper with a download for a free tune you just have to buy their ecutek tuner from their website and they give you a paper with the code to download the tune so it's a win win.

Installed this on my 2015 wrx. The installation was pretty easy, everything fits perfect. The turbo spools louder and I can feel more power. Thanks subispeed!

Awesome!

Great product. I was shocked at how easy the install was, it took about 45 min start to finish. Got a decent bump in performance and like others have said it really helped out with hearing the intake. Sounds awesome. I did notice some crazy numbers on the rich/lean side but I got it without the box which I have since ordered. I think once that is installed these numbers will level out because the MAF will not be so damn confused.

Sounds awesome. Really livens up turbo and BOV. Especially in conjunction with Mishimoto J pipe and Stage 2 tune.

Crazy sound
