Looks great but requires adjustment
By Chris August 16, 2022As with any carbon part, it does not fit perfectly. It took me some time to adjust it until I was happy, but it was time well spent. Very happy with how it looks on my car now.

Seibon CW carbon fiber hood
By PS June 20, 2018Beautiful hood, great quality and finish; very happy with it now that it's installed... but honestly, for the cost, Seibon really should have given more thought to fitment and installation. The internal frame does NOT accommodate the OEM heat shield so you must hand-drill holes in the fiberglass frame for clips. Very time consuming and nerve wracking given tight clearance, be very cautious not to let drill bit protrude through CF hood! A heat shield is strongly recommended to protect the CF finish (and is critical if you have a GS TMIC like me, due to the upgraded hood scoop baffle attaches to the OEM heat shield), so this is a significant oversight. It's also critical to check and report any damage immediately upon receipt, as Seibon will NOT honor their warranty otherwise. Because this is a custom item it takes many weeks to ship direct from the manufacturer; i was traveling out of the country when Seibon attempted delivery and they threatened to charge a re-stock fee unless I accepted delivery within a specified period, which is really unreasonable after the significant delay in their shipment. Because of their pressure I accepted delivery my first day back in the US despite the fact I was working that day so could not inspect the package, only to discover damage on the hood scoop when I opened the box later. You guessed it... Seibon refused to honor warranty because i had not noted the damage upon delivery. Thankfully Subispeed stepped up and made it right -- thanks so much, Yo!! I love the hood now that it's installed and can't say enough about Subispeed's great service. But it's important to be aware of Seibon's draconian shipping policy, and of the need to drill the frame for heat shield install given Seibon failed to provide pre-drilled holes for the OEM heat shield clips.
