Installation
This item is held in by your center dash trim which you have to remove to install. You will see one locator pin that is pointing straight towards you. This is where the hole on the very end of mount goes around. There is also one additional self tapping screw that can be drilled into the plastic vehicle trim on the side (out of sight). Please search sites for dash removal / radio installations. There are many documented installs based on your vehicle application. Many Subaru vehicles will have a screw on the left and right side of the radio mount. To access these bolts, you will have to remove trim panels and use socket extensions.
These videos document WRX / STI dash removal. Depending on your model year Forester or Crosstrek, one of these videos will likely apply to your vehicle as well. The newer (larger) stereos have the bolts on both sides of the stereo which require additional trim piece removal.

Works great
Awesome mount looks good so much better than a air vent type only problem was the bracket is a little to thick in my 21 wrx so it was tight trying to push the radio and ac panel back in and I couldn't reinstall one of the lower bolts for the headunit because it wouldn't let it go back in far enough but the top two bolts hold everything just fine

By far the best phone mount
You want your phone out of the way but within sight? Don't want to hassle around with vent mounts, suction cups, hanging mounts etc? This is the way to go. It can be a bit of a challenge to install. But you're only installing this thing once. While you're at it, might as well throw in a Footwell Illunimation Kit and change out your cabin air filter while you're in there.

Overall, solid
The installation is a challenge if you are not inclined to remove your radio. I was able to remove it mostly and fit a screwdriver in "under" the radio and HVAC module, but it would be much easier once you pull everything out of the way. Once it's installed, it looks great. I have a proclip phone mount on mine, and it kind of interferes with the rightmost HVAC knob, but it's not significant enough for me to be upset -- the proclip mount extends about 1" from the mounting surface so I assume if you use a lower-profile mount it would be fine. I like how high it holds the phone, makes it easy to see right next to the HVAC controls, and it doesn't interfere with the passenger area as much as some of the other options.

Be careful
Use extra caution when removing the Harmon Karden Headunits the GPS module cables are very easy to break and extremely difficult to repare

Great Mount - PAIN to install
Mount is exactly what I've been wanting in my '18 STI, however, in order to remove the stock radio, you have to remove most of the lower part of the dash to access the appropriate screws. Not SubiSpeed's fault - but would be great to do an install video for this product.

Worth it
The two Lower bolts for the radio were a PITA but the finished product is totally worth it.

Cleanest looking solution with terrible hardware
Let's get straight to the point the fitment and look is absolutely on point! The included hardware (1 screw!) Is terrible. The slightest tug will loosen it and it'll sag. A nut and bolt would've been stronger! Now there's a hole cutout for added support, however they don't include a self tapping screw in order to firmly attach the mount which is unfortunate. Overall I'm happy with the finished look but it's annoying that not all the hardware was included.

no installation instructions
there are no installation instructions, and the video they have linked just shows you how to take out the radio. mine all was scratched when I received it.
