MTEC Stainless Steel Brake Lines (Various Colors)
2013+ FR-S / BRZ
MTEC Industries brake lines are made of the finest PTFE hose with a stainless steel wire braided cover and permanently crimped-on zinc plated steel fittings. They reduce volumetric expansion giving you the reliability and safety you demand.
Stainless steel lines will give protection from issues along with enhancing the appearance of your installation. Overtime and under continuous use OEM rubber lines can swell and expand, exposing the driver to brake fade. The rubber cover is also vulnerable to attacks from the ozone layer rubber which causes it to deteriorate. Rubber hoses might be susceptible to flying debris in extreme applications such as auto crossing, hard driving, and racing.

MTEC Brake Lines on a 2019 BRZ PP
These brake lines worked well on my 2019 Subaru BRZ Performance Pack. They helped to keep a consistent pedal feel along with dissipating heat to keep from boiling the brake fluid.
Easy peasy, nice and easy
Replacing brakes lines is never particularly difficult as long as you know how to bleed. These were spot on replacements for the OEM lines. I flushed my OEM lines before I installed these just so I could get a real comparison. These are much firmer than the OEM lines and overall a very good upgrade.
Great quality for a great price
Compared to some of the other stainless steel brake line options out there, these MTEC's are one of the lower cost options that I've seen. However, after installing their shift springs and being so impressed with the quality and performance of those, I decided to give these brake lines a shot, and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with them. The fit and finish are top notch - the coating of the line is very smooth, even, and durable (I went with the black option for a more OEM look) and the length of the line and fittings on both ends are spot on. I can't comment about a noticeable difference in performance or feel from installing these brake lines alone, as I upgraded several other braking components at the same time. However, I have had no leaks or issues with them whatsoever.
Doing a basic upgrade to my brakes (stainless lines, fresh fluid, paint the calipers, new pads and slotted/crossdrilled rotors) and decided to go with these lines for the price point and the fact I could get them in colors. I went with the black/smoked lines to go on my silver car and to go with the black caliper paint. I followed all the steps they show in the Install video (mostly watched it for the torque specs) and the install was fast and easy. After driving with the new brakes for about 1500 miles, including one 'spirited' drive through some corners, I'm happy with my purchase. Braking is firm and consistent, and I won't have to worry about the lines flexing or dryrotting like you have to with factory rubber lines. All in all they are a great product that match the look I wanted to go with for my braking system and perform well even under pressure.
