When you are heavy with your right foot, there is all sorts of stress passing through your AWD drive-train. In order to prevent axle torque from twisting back to front, Subaru implemented a pitch stop. Even though this was an ingenious idea to help with the underlying issue, the execution was not the greatest. The factory parts are comprised of plastic and soft rubber mounts. While this may be aid in comfort for daily driven vehicles, it hurts the performance for modified cars.
