The brake master cylinder moves quite a bit under heavy braking. Go ahead and check for yourself.
This often leads to a mushy feeling in the brake pedal. One way to combat this is to use a brake master cylinder brace. This minimizes movement and increases brake pedal feel.
NOTE: This is the brace that Cusco officially supports for the SJ Forester. However, we have found that it is easier to install the newer one created for the 2015+ WRX / STI. Click here to view that product.

Solid, Easy to Install, Does the Job
By Chris November 19, 2016Maybe it's all in my mind (the placebo affect) but this part helped increase the responsiveness of my brakes. I love my '14 Forester but the brakes are a little softer than I'm used to - the Cusco brace with braided steel lines (since I spent a fair amount of time off-road) made a huge difference.
