What's this about?
JPM's premium materials dress up the interior of your vehicle and give it a more luxurious look and feel. They are designed to appear like a factory piece. Custom pieces have been made to fit both the standard arm rest and the available extended arm rest (shown below).
This brake boot not only replaces the factory vinyl boot, but also utilizes the original factory trim ring, meaning that that it will install and function exactly as the original. We recommend the DAP® Weldwood® High Strength Spray Adhesive for the DIY installation of this product.

Easier than I thought it was going to be
Couple of things - 1: Go get the 3M 90 spray adhesive. It works and does what it's supposed to. This is what the manufacturer recommends so go get the right stuff. 2: Go to JPM and get the directions. For some stupid reason, they're not shipping with the instructions. That's just not ok http://jpmcoachworks.com/installation/Subaru/impreza/gr/1021-installation-instructions.pdf 3: Get a very sharp x-acto knife or similar. Just your standard razor knife's not going to do it here. You need something ULTRA thin and scalpel sharp 4: TAKE YOUR TIME. Don't get in a hurry and read the directions. You can always cut more off, but you can't put it back on once it's cut so don't get carried away. Mine turned out perfect, but results will vary. I can see it being pretty easy to screw this up if you don't be very careful with this. Quality is OEM grade. It looks like it BELONGS in there. You can't tell any difference from the other alcantara pieces in the car.
JPM extended alcantara armrest
This product had perfectly clear instructions and took a little bit of time but turned out amazing. I used 3m 90 adhesive spray for the install and it worked out great. I recommend any JPM product as their quality is top notch!
Nice improvement, needs installation instructions
I got the alcantara version. It just basically sits on top of the armrest and that's it. No instructions in the packet. I was expecting it to have some kind of elastication or some way to hold it around the top of the armrest. It was very loose at first then I remembered the piece of foam that was inside the packet that I thought was part of the packaging! Had to fish it out of the bin - this goes between the armrest and alacantara and provides padding and a better fit. Still hangs loose around the sides and back, but I got the front to work by using some black tape to hold it on. Afraid to glue it on. Will have to think about it a bit more.. instructions would have been nice, and some method of fastening, especially for 75 bucks! Did not seem worth the price, but still a nice improvement from stock hard plastic.
