AEM Cold Air Intake Systems are designed to produce horsepower and torque gains. They replace the restrictive factory airbox and air filter to give you better performance and better engine sound. AEM cold air intakes relocate the air filter outside the engine compartment so cooler air can be fed into your engine. Cooler air carries more oxygen, which translates into a more intense explosion in the combustion chamber for more horsepower and torque.
AEM Cold Air Intakes include an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for outstanding air flow, filtration, and performance while allowing easy oil-free cleaning. They include a mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube and high quality hardware designed to reduce restriction and reduce intake temperature. The design and components of each intake system vary so consult the installation instructions for more information on the contents of each part number.

Decent for the price
By michael September 20, 2019Fit is not ideal (especially the massive shield) and takes up more room than necessary. In hindsight seems like more piping than necessary, but it gets the job done and it sounds good.

By KEVIN April 9, 2015Took around an hour for the install, but I blame Subaru. The clamp on the lower intake hose was installed pointing downward, causing me to get under the car and remove part of the wheel well to loosen it. As for the kit itself, great, detailed instructions, everything fit together perfectly, kudos to AEM. This has been my second intake kit from AEM and will continue with them. One thing to be said is that both Mishimoto and ETS include their own lower intake tube, AEM uses the factory one. Which is why AEM can typically be installed without having to get under the car

By Michael February 8, 2015Very nice quality with easy install. Sound alone is worth every penny. Turbo spool is so much nicer and gets rid of that nasty 2 gear boost lag when really opening up the throttle. Over all great product.
