Vinyl overlay covers are a great way to get a custom look for your WRX or STI
Subarus look hot straight from the factory, but the orange on the side of the stock headlights kind of sticks out like a sore thumb. This simple kit from Subispeed allows you to darken those sidemarkers mounted inside the headlight housings for a much cleaner appearance. Select from two tint choices depending on how much orange you want to knock out. These pre-cut vinyl overlays offer an easy and inexpensive option for customizing the look of your 2015-2020 WRX or STI’s front end without having to replace the actual sidemarkers.
Note: These do work with the 2018+ WRX Limited / STI headlights.
Easy to install mod for your Subaru’s headlight sidemarkers
You’ll have your headlights looking amazing in no time even if this is your first mod ever. Simply clean your sidemarkers before application (wet installation is recommended). Either use water or a combination of soap and water (drop of Dawn mixed with water). Start at the corner closest to the center of the vehicle and work your way outward. Use a squeegee or credit card (if plastic, wrap in paper towel to prevent scratching). Allow time to dry for 24-48 hours. Once completely dry, they will hold up in automatic car washes and against most power washing. Enjoy your meaner looking headlights!

It fits good, DO NOT get the light smoke
By CyclicMoth September 25, 2021So, I went with the light smoke thinking it would be a bit dark, but not too dark. Boy, was I wrong! Once I installed it, I couldn't even tell that the sticker was there, it is that light! When looking closely, it just looks as if I have some sort of protection film applied on top of the headlight :/. However, as a product, I will still recommend it, but please get the dark smoke, else you will be left disappointed like I am.

Great mod that is quick and easy

Dark vinyl but not black
By Alex July 21, 2015The dark smoke vinyl darkens the orange reflector, but it does not black it out. For this reason, the primary photo displayed for this item is not accurate (it's not that black), but the photos that compare the stock WRX to the WRX with the vinyl is dead on. SubiSpeed: Hello, this was a customer submitted photo. Monitor results will vary depending on brightness, and it appears the picture was also not taken in sunlight.

Dark Smoke overlay
