A Must-Have Improvement for Your Manual Transmission 2015-2020 WRX
Upgrade and feel the difference instantly in every shift in your custom 2015-2020 Subaru WRX with the Perrin Shifter Stop from Subispeed! Reduce side-to-side slop of your shifter while in the 1-2 and 5-6 shifter gates. There is nearly a full inch of horizontal play to the shifter mechanism while in gear in the two outer gates (1-2 and 5-6) from the factory. This can lead to loss of feeling and confidence in gear selection. The Perrin Shifter Stop allows for independent adjustment of the two gates to significantly reduce side to side slop.
An Essential Mod from Perrin
Due to the slop of the internals in the transmission, there is an unacceptable amount of horizontal slop within the 1st- and 2nd- gear shift gates. What should be little to no movement ends up being nearly 1.0 inch of play. This makes for an unnatural placement of shift gates and a lost feeling of which gear you are in. The PERRIN Shifter Stop removes this play, reducing the horizontal movement to 0.12 inches. This makes for a solid connection between the driver and transmission.

Great Budget Mod

Nice and tight

I paired this with their shifter bushing and the difference is unreal over stock. Makes shifts quicker too. I would recommend this to anyone no matter how they drive. Inexpensive and it works! Must Have Product
By Ryan December 8, 2019I'm so happy I came across this part. The shifter stop removes most of the factory slop and feels so much better. Install took about 20 minutes, but make sure you have a 7mm wrench. I think the longest part of the install was putting the washers on. Must have part for your WRX

A MUST
By kenef January 23, 2019Definitely a must have for any 2015+ WRX. Removes the slop that the stock shifter has and immensely helps with more precise shifts. I did not have to use the additional spacers to remove a gap in the hinge portion, as there was none in my case. Mine is a 2019 so perhaps this was something they might have addressed or maybe just happened with my car. Highly recommend this to be the first purchase for your WRX.

Great Overall Product

Best investment
By Daniel June 28, 2018Best investment for the money. Cleans up first and second a ton and helps polish fifth and sixth. Super easy to install. If I hadn't dropped the washer and had to fish it out it would have taken less than ten minutes.

The car should have come from the factory with this built in. Recommended as the first thing to do to your car. Kudos to Subispeed for the great video installation guide. I watched it on my phone while doing the install. Very simple install and amazing results.
