An awesome feature of this intake is that it doesn’t require aftermarket tuning and is designed to work with stock calibration. The intake tube has been tirelessly tested to provide safe and reliable fuel trim levels. You won’t have to cut or drill to get this installed on your Subie and Injen’s dyno testing has proven you can expect performance gains of up to +26 horsepower and +34 ft/lbs of torque! On top of all that it adds a more aggressive look to your engine bay and has a great OE fit.
2-piece box design with quality air filter and intake tube
This intake uses a 2-piece box design to integrate Injen’s boost plenum, ram air scoop, and SuperNano-Web dry air filter. The huge air filter increases airflow volume to get as much power as possible to your turbo and seals to prevent leaks. There’s also a clever built-in Filter Monitor allowing you to perform painless inspections.
Injen hasn’t missed any details with a professionally rotomolded housing constructed of cross linked high density polyethylene. The intake tube is 6061 aluminum with a wrinkle red finish and a spot for your MAF sensor. The band clamps are stainless steel with an inner protective liner to the reinforced silicone coupler. This intake is designed for durability and power!

Excellent Intake System
By Lincoln May 29, 2019This Injen intake system was quite an impressive system. I installed it in my 2015 STI. The installation was pretty straightforward and only took around 30-45 minutes. The instructions provided in conjunction with YouTube videos online gave all necessary information. There is one hex cap screw that is slightly difficult to reach to the right of the intake box that holds the filter. This becomes easier with a ratchet extension at least 8” long, preferably 12”, otherwise all other tools needed are quite common. The polyethylene intake box truly seems to reduce heat soak compared to the stock intake box. The drainage hole at the bottom is larger so as to more quickly remove any water that flows into the intake box when it’s raining. The larger intake diameter and less restrictive air filter definitely allow increased airflow. I noticed the reduced heat soak, less restrictive air filter, and larger intake diameter the most in the max boost and average boost from the turbo. My max boost pressure went up by 2 psi instantly, and my average boost pressure went up by 1 psi. I have not tuned it yet, nor have I checked if the HP or torque gains are realized exactly according to the specification they denoted, but there is definitely an increase in performance. My STI pulls harder in boost in every gear, and it definitely seems to breath better. Altogether, I am super pleased and would definitely recommend this Injen intake system.
