Recommended Tool(s): Heat Gun or Hair Dryer, soapy water
Clean the surface of the tail light. Use soapy water to make installation easier. Place the slightly soapy water on the tail light and the adhesive side of the overlay. Start in the middle of the tail light and apply the film. Use your fingers to squeegee out the water. It is recommended you use your fingers so you do not scratch the material. The heat can be used to allow the material to stretch AND to slightly shrink it when you're not pulling it. Massage out any creases with your fingers. You may have to pull up sections and reapply if many creases begin to appear. Keep working the material until you have 100% coverage. Average time per install is 10 minutes per side. Best to allow the vehicle to remain in the sun for some time and DO NOT POWER WASH for at least 48 hours. Some bubbles and creases may disappear over time and exposure to heat.
