*Organic/ Kevlar/ Formula Button Clutch kits are expected and tend to have a higher life expectancy than OEM, however not guaranteed. Improper Installation, Driving style, performance upgrades, Break in procedure and light weight flywheels will effect and have a role in determining the life expectancy of the clutch kit.

Kits include the following:

  • High-Leverage Pressure Plate
  • Performance Disc
  • Release Bearing
  • Alignment Tool

High-Leverage Pressure Plate

The Clutch Masters High-Leverage pressure plate provides an increase in clamping force while still maintaining a soft pedal feel. The High-Leverage design reduces the amount of load against the crankshaft, minimizing thrust bearing wear, and crank walk. Clutch Masters begins with a OEM genuine pressure plate and incorporates our signature High-Leverage technology in order to achieve maximum clamping force without having to compromise pedal feel. Clutch Masters High-Leverage technology has been proven to be the best method of achieving a high clamping force in the clutch industry.

Performance Disc

The Clutch Masters performance disc utilizes a high dampening 4 spring carrier to reduce the amount of shock and impact during engagement. A variety of materials are available to ensure you have the best setup for your application and to best suit your needs. Marcel or “cushion” is also incorporated on Clutch Masters performance disc to reduce chatter and offer a smoother engagement.

  1. Instant GO

    By Chan February 24, 2020

I had a buddy install it for me, but he finished it quickly without issues. The biggest difference I noticed was that once I left off the clutch pedal, there is near instant engagement. If you don't do it correctly or you try to 'limo drive', the car shakes and shudders. Over time that started to go away. It still shakes a bit, but not as dramatically as it used to. My car is Stage 2 Flex Fuel and with this, ZERO clutch slip. I enjoy it and my wife has taken up to it really well even though she only drives my car occasionally. We like the feel of it, but if you want something more DD friendly, you may want to look into something less aggressive. A couple friends of mine went with ACT's street performance clutch and they like it. They said it doesn't bite as hard so it's a little easier to drive, but I haven't driven their cars yet to verify.

  2. Great quality clutches

    By Gai July 26, 2015

I have reserved opinions until I have thoroughly broken in these clutches. I have over 1000 miles on mine now so far these have been excellent for me and my style of driving. Biggest difference is that this clutch is going to feel much lighter than the stock clutch. Initially, during break-in period, it'll almost feel like a feather, but eventually becomes stiffer as it gets broken in. I would say it puts out about 1/4th pf the pressure of stock. Secondly, this clutch will bite almost as soon as you release the clutch. If you are very used to stock and have never driven performance clutches before, you will have a harder time adjusting to this. I have two friends who've driven manuals for over a decade and whom loved my car before, but now can hardly get the car around the block. I would say that if you are looking for a light clutch that bites much quicker, then this is an excellent clutch for you. If you want something that's heavy duty but feels closer to stock (or live in urban areas), then I would suggest getting the clutches that are made for daily driving rather than those made for track or spirited driving.
