TEXTURE FINISH
The texture finish is achieved through a meticulous powder coating process which includes multiple stages of careful hand work. The shift knobs come off our cnc machines with a super smooth surface finish, then they are gently glass beaded to promote powder coating adhesion. A coat of electrostatically charged powder is applied, then baked to cure the powder which creates a subtle textured finish for a confident shifting grip.
SHIFT GATE ENGRAVING
With or without? All depends on your personal preference. Our signature shift gate engraving was designed to be graphically clean while giving your shift knob a unique aesthetic.
The engraving is cnc machined into the shift knob using a small .0625" solid carbide ball end mill.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
With the weight in all the right places, Ashiko redefines your shifting experience through the look and feel of how you shift into gear. You will experience smoother and faster shifts!
How? Weight in motion directly relates to how an object will react to an opposing force. In this case, the opposing force is the gate pattern and counter springs that are connected to your shift arm that tell you the shift pattern of your car. The difference felt when shifting into the next gear requires far less effort due to the additional momentum created by the increased mass.
HOW DOES IT FIT MY CAR?
We take fitment seriously. The Ashiko comes with a precision cnc machined adapter that will fit your car's threaded shifter arm with OEM fit and finish. The adapter requires simple steps to install and allows you to adjust the shift gate engraving orientation with ease.
WILL IT FIT MY HAND?
The Ashiko is best suited for medium to x-large size hands. We designed the Ashiko to have proportions that maximize shape to weight.
Side Arm
Overhand
Shifting Positions
Whether side arm or overhand shifting, Ashiko's shape is purposefully designed to make both shifting styles more enjoyable. The side surface is designed to fit the natural curvature of your hand and fingers as they wrap around the shift knob as you dictate direction and movement. The domed top surface is intended to compliment overhand shifting, giving you an ideal surface area for confident shifting.
DESIGN DRIVEN
We believe in the power of the design process to create incredible products. Every shift knob start it's life as an idea that is translated into countless ideation sketches where form and details evolve. We take those sketches and further develop them in solid modeling software to define the form and ergonomics of the shift knob. The goal of this process is to perfect the balance between form and function to create an unparallelled product and brand experience.
CRAFTED BY US

Great Finsh and Feel, Easy Install
(Received as gift). Upgraded from the OEM STI shift knob. Love the look of the knob, matches all my red trims on the interior. The texture on the knob is excellent. It's soft little bumps (as seen in the picture) makes holding, and shifting with the knob very enjoyable. The shape of this knob IMO is the best I've ever driven with. I've had at least 15 different styled knobs in my cars, and this style has been the most comfortable, and enjoyable to use. The weight on the knob is excellent as well, not too heavy, but definitely not light! Makes shifting gears a breeze. Install was super easy, took 20 minutes (15 waiting for loctite to set). Definitely recommend the Ashiko line knobs in your favorite finish!
