This mount uses a Double T style end so it can be used for holding cell phones, GPS units, Radar detectors, ETC (anything with a double T attachment point).

Great Mount Painful Install

I'm glad i bought it (once it was installed)
By JAMES February 2, 2019For starters it doesn't exactly pop right in. It comes in 3 pieces and the bottom portion 'sandwiches' the vent section in place when the screws are tightened. This was actually kind of a pain to get set up correctly. The 3d printed design is also pretty rough and I was concerned i would be staring at it all the time. Once it was in though with the access port on it i don't notice the rough finish at all. It also mounts solid which is why i bought this. There's nothing more frustrating than my access port flying off during an autocross event. I've tried the factory '3m' sticky mount the access port came with and a suction cup style. Both proved to not hold up during hard cornering. This mount despite its install and roughness mounts SOLID and that makes it 100% worth the money.

Great Idea - Execution Could Be Better
By Barrett April 6, 201814+ Foresters have the same vents so I got this for my 2015 XT. I love the idea of this mounting solution for my AP - no adhesives, no blocking vents, it's great. But the build quality falls a little short due to the nature of 3D printing. The material isn't particularly strong along the 'grain' or layers of the polymer so the socket at the top is a serious weak point because as you tighten the ball in it that puts a lot of stress on the layers of the socket. Mine split when trying to adjust the AP position. However, with that said I never intended to use the double T mounts for the long term. I retrofitted a Scosche Magic Mount socket on the end of the stem and it works great now. The stem could be a little thicker to reduce some of the vibration when driving (I wrapped it with paracord to alleviate this slightly) but overall I am pleased with my modified, finished result (see pictures). As far as installation, it is pretty straight forward but I did have a little trouble getting everything in place. Save yourself some time and glue or tape the nuts into the bottom piece and put everything together as loose as possible. This will let you insert the bottom of the clamp into the vent hole and slide it into place. Then tighten the 3 bolts evenly (~1 turn at a time) until you have a solid fit.
