Upgrade Your Driving Experience
The texture finish is achieved through a meticulous powder coating process which includes multiple stages of careful hand work. The shift knobs come off our cnc machines with a super smooth surface finish, then they are gently glass beaded to promote powder coating adhesion. A coat of electrostatically charged powder is applied, then baked to cure the powder which creates a subtle textured finish for a confident shifting grip.
Each knob is machined from solid 304 stainless steel right here in Minnesota and weighs in at a hefty 675g. They are available in a raw stainless finish ($55) and the ALL NEW red and black textured power coat options ($65) to match our other popular aesthetic and performance parts; every shift knob also receives laser etched GrimmSpeed logos around the base. The shift knob itself features a hybrid design that is comfortable in both overhand and side grip driving styles.

Worth the money

Great Quality
By Josh October 30, 2021Installation was super easy and maybe took 30 seconds. The knob is high quality and almost a pound heavier than stock. The added weight helped smooth out the throws.

Installation was super simple and took maybe 2 minutes. The knob is almost a pound heavier than the stock knob and helped smooth out the movement. The fit and finish is great!

Great weight, feel, and size
By Brian August 12, 2021I looked at a ton of weighted shift knobs before I finally pulled the trigger on this one, and I’m glad I chose this one. I was worried about how it would hold heat, but it seems fine (South Carolina summers are brutal). The weight, feel, look, and overall quality of this is fantastic. I really like how clean the stainless steel looks inside my ‘20 WRX. If you’re looking for a great weighted knob that doesn’t look obnoxious, this is the winner. Do yourself a favor and get a shift stop plate and brass bushing too. Shifting is an absolute joy now!

Great weight, feel, and size

I was worried about how hot it would get (summer in South Carolina is brutal), but it’s really not that bad. The weight is great, and the feel of the stainless steel is great. If you’re wanting a weighted knob that isn’t obnoxious looking, this is a great one to get! Oh and do yourself a favor and pair it with a shift stop plate and brass shifter bushing. Shifting my ‘20 WRX is an absolute joy now!
