Easy install 2018 WRX
By Nak August 21, 2019I received my AEM dry filter today. It took me very little time to install it. Under 2 minutes. I am not mechanically incline. So far so good. It sounds great with my Boomba BPV.

Cool air filter
By Alex January 21, 2019Easy install and good quality piece. Didn’t hear or feel any power gains but it’s nice to know it can last for a while. Just clean it every now and then and reuse. Not bad.

Product easily fits.
By Christopher December 03, 2017Was hesitant to buy based on all the reviews of product not fitting. First couple trys of installation I could not get the filter to fit. I waited till morning so I could actually see what I was doing, and I noticed there is a faint AEM logo on the top side of the filter.
If you slide the filter with the AEM logo facing up, it will slide ride in, no problem. Easier to fit in than the stock filter - actually.
Car seems to be a pit more peppy. -
Easy to install, excellent upgrade
By Steve March 09, 2017This is a great filter. Installation was a breeze! My installation, from popping the hood to closing it back up and driving, was no more than 2 minutes. I was a little worried about fitment after reading the other reviews. However, the filter is only tight fitting if you put it in the wrong way. For the filter isn't perfectly square; its something like 8.75" x 8.6". Just enough to make it tight one way. So just turn the filter and try again if it is not installing smoothly. It should slide right in like the OEM.
A noticeable improvement in throttle feel, and seems to get to max psi quicker. Well worth the money! -
Good but a pain installing
By tony July 24, 2015Works pretty good i can hear the air flow much better. I can feel just a little more power. The only downside was installing, it was a very tight fit had to make sure the air box was closed all the way with out any gaps, and had to take the air box out to install, had to do it a couple times to make sure there was no gaps.

Good, but very tight fit.
By Jeff June 29, 2015The AEM dry flow air filter works as described, plus gave my WRX a little meaner growl. The only downside it that it fits really tight. I had to take my entire box out to get it in properly and it was still tight, barely got the box closed. Also, it's bulky and heavier than the OEM filter, so the box wiggles around a little more than before. Overall I'm satisfied and enjoy the ease of cleaning it.
